The Sinaya-class stealth guided missile destroyer is armed with a 127mm naval gun capable of firing VULCANO rounds giving the ship a non-line of sight capability engagement, two RPK-8 anti-submarine launchers, two quad Naval Strike Missile launchers, 32-cell C-Dome area defense missiles, two Goalkeeper 30mm CIWS, one FL-3000N, two triple tubed MU90 torpedo launchers, 64-cell vertical launching systems for RGM-84's, Tomahawk cruise missiles, ASROC's, and RIM-162's.
Close in defence is provided by five 12.7mm machine guns and two 7.62 machine guns. It carries four 7.3m RHIBs and has a landing deck for light to medium helicopters, it has no hangar bay for internal aircraft storage but is capable of servicing helicopters (fuel, repairs, spare parts etc.) the usual location of hangar bays in naval ships in the Sinaya DDG's are holding bays for wounded men, and staging ground for goods from vertical replenishments.
It's overall radar and sensor is provided by MF-STAR active electronically scanned array radar, it is also a main component for the ship's C-Dome an area defense missile developed by IAI that has a rate of fire of one missile per second. Three separate fire control radars are mounted to control the 127mm gun and two RPK-8 anti-submarine weapons. It has a mounted sonar in the bow and is capable of operating towed sonars. Its countermeasures are provided by an internal SLQ-32 (V) radars, Mk32 SRBOC, and SLQ-25(A) torpedo countermeasures.
Its namesake is from the primordial goddess of ocean and protector of the fishermen Aman Sinaya of the Ancient Philippines.
