I made this tool to support a mini cone mandrel and it worked almost as well as a traditional cast steel mandrel. The shell is made from 10 gauge sheet. The two halves are MIG welded. A top cap with square hole accodating a square tube to hold the mini cone tang is welded. The cone is inverted and filled with concrete.
