Rosie is an energetic, fun and free spirited tank engine! She works as a shunting and mixed traffic engine and loves to race just as much as she loves to be Really Useful.
Rosie is known as the NWR's No. 37, Despite her tomboyish looks, she will do anything to be as useful as Thomas. Originally when she arrived on the line in 2005, she was originally painted in a lavender livery. Since 2016, she is now painted in a cherry red livery. Her main duties involve shunting or hauling goods around the Ffarquhar Line.
She is based on the SR USA Class 0-6-0T of which 4 examples are preserved.
