The stable (from the Latin stabulum, i) is a building used as a shelter for animals. Especially for "stable" is often the place used for maintenance, foraging and resting of cattle.
For other farm animals the stable assumes exact names:
For pigs (pigs and the like) is called piglet
Sheep is called sheep
For goats it is called caprile
For poultry in general is called chicken coop
For rabbits is a rabbit
For horses it is a stable
For cattle, it is commonly called "stall"
