Made from a single ¾ plywood sheet. I have tested it, the triangular braces gives decent strength but obviously you cant expect to rock back with this chair. It's great for light use in small spaces. Ideally I would have preferred without having to use dado groove but the dado groove makes it sturdy and secure. Using a good putty and oil based enamel paint will add to its durability. I have been using it for over 6 months of occaisional usage so far been holding out just fine. Not suitable for large or tall indiiduals. I'm 5'8 its fine for my measurements.
