The pipe fittings aren't all to scale, but the concept is sound. The pump inside the tote, not depicted, #26078, pumps 1/2" pipe to the required 6' to 7' height. The blue green cylinders in the vinyl posts are pool noodles cut to 1-1/2". They are reusable, and do not let roots grow through them. To propagate the seeds, use a pizza pan with PH neutral silica sand, sand blasting beads work too. Keep an inverted bottle with nutrient solution and a hole in the bottle, in the pan to keep the sand moist. I use my own nutrients, but have seen others using liquid tomato food as a nutrient... Keep PH 5.5 to 6.0. If you use -plaster-, expect the calcium to be released slowly. And don't mix PH up or PH down with your N P K / don't use NPK to control PH.
