This is the unknown probe from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986). It is a very simple model, the only confounding issue with it is it's size. According to production notes the movies producers asked for something about 5 miles in length (8000 m). However most people analyzing onscreen references consistently determined that the length was 73,500 m (45.7 miles), which became the most commonly cited (possibly only cited) size for this object until at least 2014, and is still more cited than the shorter length, and the length I used. Fore those who would want to scale this down to the smaller size, the scaling factor would be 0.108843.
