This upload is the step by step process and technique I have been working on for the past couple months. It took me a long time to get the hang of this new tool, but it really speeds up the building process. This basic hull is similar to the brig I just uploaded, and took me about 45 minutes to build. My intent is to help expedite the learning curve of anyone who wants to give this technique a go, just give me a shout out if you do end up making it work.
I know that a lot of people are using delftship to craft their hulls, but I found it more time consuming than using sketchup. I downloaded delftship but haven't quite got the hang of it yet, so I can't truly compare the two processes. I would be very curious to hear the opinion of someone who is comfortable with delftship and is willing to give this technique a try.
