The Compact variant of the XM8 Modular Assault Weapon. The weapon has a short, 9 inch barrel and a smaller design. It fires the same 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge as the standard XM8 and uses the same 30-round G36 magazine. This production version has no "XM8" branding on the receiver.
