This is an idea I had for a solar powered water heater. The solar cells run a pump for moving coolant and tracking motors and the excess heat is picked up and cycled to the back side where a reflector dish provides higher temps. The larger the dish the more heat that is generated in one spot. This is actually a single unit but is broke down in multiple views to show each part. Some testing of parts has given me some good temps but have yet to test the full unit. A coolant is used to carry the heat to water storage containers for heat transfer. I would guesstimate that for 1 hour of full sunlight on a 70 deg F day would increase a 55 gal tank of 50 deg F water by 10 deg. This could be mounted on a roof top to gain the natural radiant heat from it and pump into an attic storage tank to gain some heat from there.
