Originally completed in 1917, the Security National Bank is one of only a handful in downtown Sioux Falls individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building is famous for a 1934 robbery in which John Dillinger stole nearly $50,000 and a security guard was killed. The episode is made famous from the movie "Public Enemies" starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale.
