Introduced sometime during the late 1970s or early 1980s, Sturdivan was a line of van based school buses built by Transportation Products Inc. in Suffern, NY. under SturdiCorp which later became US Bus and now known as Trans-Tech. Before the Sturdivan, TPI's earlier school bus products made during the 1970s include the Bus-Con miniBUS, a flat top product, and the Bus-Con MAXIbus, a model similar to the Sturdivan.
Here is a generic GMC based unit, circa 1990.
