Originally opened in 1840. Rebuilt in 1894. Situated on London Rd, Leicester. 4 Platforms. Managed by East Midlands Trains. Very easy to reach via public transport and by road (and rail). The main facade was listed in the 1970's. This was one of many train stations throughout Leicester, but most of the others have now closed and been built on. Leicester was one of the first cities in the world to be served by a railway system. #2010 #D #building #era #johnson #leicester #listed #london #road #sam #station #train #victorian
