*Warning Spoilers* As most of us know, the Dawn served the unsc for 8 full years as the main command center for mobile battles. It was Piloted by Commander Miranda Keyes. In 2553 the Commander was lost in a close encounter with the UNSC's arch enemy, the leader of the brute forces, the Minister Of Fortitude or the high prophet of Truth. The ship was taken over by Sargeant Major Avery Johnson. Soon after his death in the activation of 04 II, the dawn was used to escape by Master cheif- John 117. The ship was destoyed in the middle of a closing portal which cut the hangar away from the bridge and mac guns. The ship was recreated in 2558 as the second dawn. It was mounted with extra weaponry and a thicker hull.
