* Rocket - Steam engine *
The engines "Eagle" and "Speed" were the first steam locomotives that reason in the Netherlands.
In the year 1839 they drove passenger coaches from Amsterdam to Haarlem on a distance of 16 kliometer. They traveling at a speed of nearly 40 kilometers per hour.
The locomotives were built in England at the firm Longridge & co. located in Bedlington.
In 1857 the Eagle was demolished.
* In 1938 a replica was built from the The Eagle. It is now in the Railway Museum in Utrecht. My model I built to the example of these replica "Eagle"
Note: The locomotive has been completed with tender and passenger wagons.
"De Arend" en locomotief "De Snelheid" waren de eerste stoom-locomotieven die reden in Nederland.
In het jaar 1839 reden ze met passagiers wagons van Amsterdam naar Haarlem over een afstand van 16 kliometer. De lokomotieven reden met een snelheid van bijna 40 kilometer per uur.
De locomotieven werden gebouwd in Engeland bij de firma Longridge & co. te Bedlington.
In 1857 werd de Arend gesloopt.
* In 1938 werd een replica gebouwd van de locomotief De Arend. Deze bevindt zich nu in het Spoorweg museum in Utrecht. Mijn model heb ik gebouwd naar het voorbeeld van deze replica locomotief "Arend"
Opmerking: De locomotief is nu compleet met de tender en de passagiers wagons op 3D Warehouse.
"Aigle" et "La Vitesse" ont été les premiers à vapeur locomotives aux Pays-Bas.
"Der Adler" und Lokomotive "Geschwindigkeit" waren die ersten Dampflokomotiven in den Niederlanden.
