in these maps i did in sketchup with spirix_textured_sphere.rbz plugin, greenland appears too small (but there's another gall peters i uploaded from a CAD with greenland:spain ratio of 2.6:1 compared to real 4:1). also in this globe map the africa+madagascar:spain ratio is 86:1 while real ratio is 60:1
when i create a globe with the UTM ("universal" transverse mercator) with the plugin, the scale between greenland and spain is almost correct 3.8:1 and the same goes from africa+madagascar:greenland ratio with 13.2:1 however it still fails in the flat map
on the other hand gall peters besides using elliptical distorted shape it has a considerable disproportion in this globe map however in flat map keeps proportions while UTM not
