The Folly Theater in Kansas City,Mo

JSpro
The Folly Theater, packing in a wide variety of entertainment filled with stunning appearances by Marx Bros., Humphrey Bogart, and Shirley Booth, just to name a few, first opened its doors in 1900. Through a rich and historic past, the Folly Theatre has remained as one of the premier showplaces for Kansas City audiences! Gypsy Rose Lee graced the stage in the early 1940's when it became a true burlesque. All forms of entertainment -- vaudeville, live performances and burlesque appeared. "The Grand Old Lady of Twelfth Street" has survived a century of blight, the great depression and grandeur through four names and three facelifts. After closing in 1974 a community effort to remodel it reopened in 1981. The future of The Folly continues to shine bright, attracting renown artists, musicians and performers from across the world. #Burlesque #Entertainment #Folly #Historic_Theater #Kansas_City #MO #Vaudeville
