Indoor Rabbit Cage System Easy Clean

Indoor Rabbit Cage System Easy Clean

James F.
I drew this from ideas online before I built it. The idea is to have corrugated sheets funnel the poop down until a trough at the end which feeds into a bucket. You could strain out the poop so it stays dry and then use the urine as fertilizer (this is done in Kenya and many of the rabbit farmers there harvest the urine for a substantial bit of money). The dry manure is bagged after it's set to dry further. One rabbit breeder I know sells bags of manure for about $5 per bag. The beauty of this system is to just pour water down the channels and it washes all of the poop out of the trays, simple, fast, and no mess. This will go into my workshop, which has an AC and concrete floor. Cages can of course be configured larger for does. It's not accurate to measure - I'll just do that on the fly as I build it. I just wanted to see it before touching the wood. #breeder #cage #manure_cultivation #meat #rabbit #urine
