A Listed Building. The Salmon & Ball dates from about 1733.
In 1771, a riot took place between silk cutters and the master cutters. Two men who were the union representatives and/or ringleaders were hanged outside The Salmon and Ball public house for inciting the riot. #pub #Victorian
