We started Over Water Expeditions a Non-Profit group to help promote waterways as a form of transportation, recreation and to raise awareness on keeping out waterways clean and open. We wanted to create a boat that was used for transportation in the early days of the fur trade and the York Boat the perfect vessel to model. We wanted to row the rivers and waterway to meet people and to film and document what is happening to our water systems.
We used SketchUp to model our boat so that we could see how it would look and to work out some of the construction issues prior to the start of construction – You can see more photos and learn about our goals and missions at www.OverWaterExpeditions.org.
