3 x ADAT + 24 Analog I/O + 1 x MADI I/O
Multi-format/Multi-channel analog to digital and digital to analog converter, with MADI, ADAT and balanced analog inputs and outputs.
Originally was manufactured by Sydec Audio Engineering with the name 'iBox 64-MADI-AA' as a part of their Soundscape range of workstation partner products. SSL purchased Sydec Audio Engineering in an effort to enter the DAW environment in 2006 and the Soundscape range name was changed to Alpha-Link becoming a part of the SSL XLogic range.
Unfinished MIDI implementation was never completed. According to SSL, the original converters were never modified when they became Alpha Links but other modifications were made. It has a usable dynamic range of 104~106dB and A-weighted dynamic range of 108dBA.
