This is a replica of an Ansonia Schoolhouse Clock. In America, they were popular during the 1800's. The railroads purchased them in quantity because of the accuracy of what was known as a "regulator movement". Conductors would set their pocket watches by them at each station stop. I used a Seiko battery-operated electronic chiming movement (Seiko 4/4 Westminster & Whittington Chime - Pendulum Movement - Clock Repair Parts Kit). It is readily available on Amazon. I made the clock using 1/2" oak, with the clock face being made from a piece of 3/4" maple. The inlays on the octagon are Purple Heart. Glass covers the face of the clock, as well as the pendulum door. The glass on the pendulum door is etched with the word "Regulator". If you need help, email me at borealpatriot@gmail.com.
