A fictional US Navy River Patrol ship from the Steve McQueen movie, "The Sand Pebbles". My model is heavily based on the USS Panay, a USN China River Patrol Boat commisioned in the late 1920's. The Panay was sunk by Japanese aircraft during their invasion of China, before the US was a combatant. My version appears more detailed than it really is, it was fun to put together.
