The Flight 93 National Memorial was constructed in memory of the passengers and crew who died following the hijacking of United Airlines Flight 93 on September 11 2001. It is located at the crash site, near Stonycreek Township, about 2 miles north of Shanksville, Pennsylvania. This boulder marks the main impact point of the plane. The passengers and crew of the flight fought back against the terrorists, which prevented the plane from reaching its intended target, presumed to be the Capitol in Washington DC. Modelled by Peter Olsen, Brighton-le-Sands, Sydney, Australia. #boulder #Flight_93 #hijack #memorial #pennsylvania #peter_olsen #rock #september_11 #shanksville #stonycreek
