The Stoa of Attalos was a doric building situated in the Ancient Agora of Athens. The original building was constructed from 159-138 B.C. by the king of Pergamon Attalos and the 21 rooms it contained were used as shops.
It was completely reconstructed by the American School of Classical Studies in Athens between 1953 and 1956 and today houses the Museum of the Athenian Agora. #Agora #Ancient #Athens #Attalos #Greece #Hellenistic #Museum #Stoa
