Missouri State Capitol

3D Warehouse Staff
Located on the banks of the Missouri River stands the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City. It’s impressive and ostentatious front doors are cast bronze and measure 13’x18’. The symmetrical floor plan is symbolic, and embodies the equal weight of power established in the US system of checks and balances. Completed in 1917, the notable architectural features include two sets of columns. Eight 48’ columns stand on the south portico, and six 40’ columns stand on the north. The site was decided based on its centrally located position relative to the rest of the state and it was important that it stood on the Missouri River. Tracy and Swarthout from New York designed it. #201 #Assembly #Avenue #building #Capitol #City #domed #General #Jefferson #Missouri #MO #State #West
