This model is of the third and final member of the Turán (often spelled "Turan") series, the 43M Turán III. This tank was made as an upgrade to the outdated 41M Turan to be used until Hungary could produce 44M Tas tanks (a Hungarian knockoff of the German Panther). However, the project was abandoned after just one prototype with a wooden mockup turret was produced due to the availability of Panzer IV's from Germany. Given that the tank was to be armed with the same gun as the Panzer IV Ausf. J and had roughly equivalent armor, it probably would've performed similarly to late model Panzer IV's. The main modification made between the 41M and 43M Turáns is the comically tall turret due to the addition of a commander's cupola and large raised center portion of the turret. The other main modification is the addition of spaced armor, which was added to earlier model Turáns around the same time.
Given the excessive number of polygons due to the Spaced Armor, a lower poly model using photo textures is also available.
