This is a phone charging stand I designed to accept some of the Qi circuit boards sold on auction sites.
The base & top can be made from timber or MDF. The upright tubes are 20mm black PVC conduit. The circuit board cover plates are 3mm black perspex & there are two smaller 3mm clear perspex fillers which allow the LED lights on the circuit board to shine through. The base plate has four rubber feet which not only protect the floor surface, but also allow clearance for cable entry.
I have actually made this model in light oak & it works well & looks pretty neat.
