The 11-storey, Romanesque Review Building is home to Spokane's daily newspaper, the Spokesman-Review. It was completed in 1890, and designed by Chauncey B. Seaton. The Gothic Revival Chronicle Building, adjoining on the south, was designed by Kirtland Cutter and completed in 1928. The Empire State Building at the east end of the block was constructed in 1900, and thus predates by over 30 years the more famous building of the same name in New York City. It was designed by John K. Dow, who also designed Spokane's August Paulsen Building. The Review and Empire State buildings are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Model includes adjoining smaller buildings. #downtown_Spokane #newspaper #Review_Building #Spokane #SpokesmanReview
