This is a working model for the Sabah Parks Turtle Island Beach erosion control investigation by the Reef Beach Company, a division of the Reef Ball Foundation. The beach representation is only accurate near the side of the island facing erosion issue (Use underlying survey for exact elevations). This version is A FINAL DRAFT, PENDING DESIGN APPROVAL BY DR. LEE HARRIS.NOTE: This model can be geo-referenced to Google Earth, but a current limitation of Google Earth is that you cannot view portions of the model that are under the water line. Model is a combination of a local survey combined with actual measurements from our site visit and photographic records. Palm tree locations are only representative and not from survey. This model is intended to represent the state of the island in the March-April timeframe, 2006. Turtles can generally nest in the darker colored sand areas.
