Gunderson Maxi IV Well Car - BNSF Railway

Gunderson Maxi IV Well Car - BNSF Railway

TRG
The Gunderson Maxi IV is a class of intermodal well car used for the transport of shipping containers by rail. These railcars appear either in articulated units of 3 cars or as single car units. These cars are capable of transporting either single stack or double stack containers and have the highest clearance of any standard railcar in North America that is not an oversize shipment. Many of such railcars are owned by the Trailer Train (TTX) railcar leasing corporation, as well as companies such as Pacer StackTrain, and BNSF, and others. This example features a double stack load with containers often seen on Norfolk Southern stack trains. All six containers are dynamic components, use the interact tool to switch between Hub Group, J.B. Hunt, EMP, and Schneider 53ft containers.
