This is a model of the Precious Plastic open-source plastic shredder. I didn't create this model, but since there wasn't a version available in the sketchup warehouse yet, I decided to convert the STL provided in the Open Source Documentation available at preciousplastic.com and convert it to an SKP. I converted it from an STL mesh, smoothed the edges to hide the mesh geometry, colorized it, and scaled it. It is to scale to within a few 1/10s of an inch- not perfect but close.
Precious Plastic is a global open source effort make small-scale plastic recycling machines easily available. The shredder is the first step in any recycling process. It can shred plastic waste into small flakes for injection molding, extrusion, and 3D printing.
Waste is only waste if it's wasted!
