Model of the G gauge Regner Lumberjack live steam locomotive. Model created to experiment with re-gearing alternatives, possible changes to European looks and new servo location for remote control. Dimensions taken directly from the kit parts.
The suggested modifications on the American versions include: ´
1 - Installing ball bearings on the main axles (4x8x2,5 mm);
2 - Reduce gearing from 1:2 to 1:4,1, by replacing the original 25/25 first gearing stage with a new first stage 16/34 gear ratio, along the original 25/50 second stage. These alternatives are shown.
3 - Smoke door box can be opened;
4 - A new balloon smokestack made from turned aluminum.
5 - Installation of a two channel remote control (speed/directions a steam whistle).
