No. 6229 was built at LMS Crewe Works by LMS CME William Stanier. Then in 1939, Duchess of Hamilton & No. 6220 Coronation swaped nameplates, because Coronation was supposed to go to the United States of America (3rd largest country on Earth). Later on in 6229's life her streamlining was off because she was moving to BR. When she came back fron BR, her streamlining was put on. Then ske came to the NRM York, and later in the early 2000's, her streamlining was put back on. She is currently at the National Railway Museum York & the only preserved Princess Coronation Class WITH Streamlining. Duchess of Sutherland No. 6233 is different.
