The levacapsule is a tool used to open bottles closed with crown cap or capsule.
It is also called bottle opener, although this more generic term may also include the corkscrew. The term is more appropriate if used in reference to objects that incorporate several opening systems, including a levacapsule and a corkscrew.
There are portable versions and stationary stand versions, mainly used in bars and a time also applied to automatic machines for the distribution of glass bottle drinks.

The operation is based on the principle of the lever. A metal bar has an opening or slit in which the cap is inserted so that one side of the slot is resting over the cap, focusing on it, and the other side acting on the edge of the cap by lifting it.
The levacapsule is built in countless shapes and finishes, and is collectibles.
