The SD70ACe is a 6-axle diesel-electric locomotive manufactured by Electro-Motive Diesel, formerly the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors. Production of this locomotive began in 2004 and is still ongoing today.
Norfolk Southern rosters 175 of these locomotives, 50 of said units are currently in storage. These locomotives can be seen pulling regular service trains across the NS system.
