In the Alternate reality version from Star Fox Zero for Wii-U. He returns and where James apparently sacrificed himself in order to let Peppy make an escaped. He is the focal point of the mission on Titania where his Arwing has crashed into a sandpit and become a captive of the Scrapworm, identical to when Slippy was a captive of Goras in Star Fox 64.
